Hatha Yoga

This class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and postures. This flow centers on control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels. You will learn to move with integrity, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.

Yin Yoga

Focus on the present moment. Those who try this practice describe feeling more relaxed and less distracted, demonstrating an enhanced ability to solve problems and recall information. We often combine the methods and techniques of Yin Yoga into our Restorative classes.  In this beautiful, meditative, and mind-clearing practice, poses are held for several minutes to build fluidity and elasticity in your connective tissues. To remain supple and mobile, your joints require this regular exploration through their natural range of motion. Yin yoga is great for active movers to relieve tightness and tension in the body, as well as beginners seeking a relaxing practice.

Restorative Yoga

Our restorative yoga classes are designed to be a healing and recuperative experience. The benefits of a restorative practice are often overshadowed by the popularity of more dynamic yoga styles. This class is an opportunity to get away from your busy day and to reset both the body and mind for improved clarity and thought. We move slowly through poses with deep, consistent breathing. Slower movements allow for a deeper experience of the poses and the breathing. This style is designed to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, which will mitigate the effects of the body's fight-or-flight stress response that is detrimental to both your physical and mental well-being. We often combine Yin methods with this practice to deepen the practice.  This class aims to calm you all the way to the cellular level. A regular restorative practice creates expanded awareness of self and body and positively supports your more energetic endeavors.

Roll and Restore Yoga

This class is suitable for all levels.  Massage meets yoga in this deeply restorative class. Offered specifically in the evening to aid in sleep. You will smooth out tension in the body, release stress and calm the entire self. It’s like giving yourself a Swedish massage. Learn roller technique and methods to extend your practice at home. Calm the nervous system and find deep relaxation. Rollers are provided. Class is limited to six. No prior experience necessary and all levels are welcome.

Parent-Child Yoga

Its never too soon to learn yoga and the best teacher is a parent or caregiver.  Offered once a month on Saturdays at 11:30 AM, this class is for parents (grandparents, guardians, or caregivers) and children ages 4-9.  It will explore how Yoga can be partnered with younger yogis, and create new ways to connect with your child.  Using partner poses, story telling and imagination, we create a bonding practice that is fun and soothing.  Class size is limited, please sign up in advance.
