Group Yoga Classes in Bainbridge Island, WA
Spend quality time with others with the practice of yoga. We help you elevate your physical, mental, and emotional well-being through yoga in a group-like setting that celebrates community.
We are pleased to offer traditional but straightforward and meaningful yoga practices. Below you will see our group yoga classes in Bainbridge Island, WA. Read through the various yoga classes and choose the one that sounds right for you. We also offer specialized classes.
Our classes are small, so our teachers can be more directly involved in helping you move and practice appropriately.
This class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and postures. This flow centers on control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels. You will learn to move with integrity, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.
Focus on the present moment. Those who try this practice describe feeling more relaxed and less distracted, demonstrating an enhanced ability to solve problems and recall information. In this beautiful, meditative, and mind-clearing practice, poses are held for several minutes to build fluidity and elasticity in your connective tissues. To remain supple and mobile, your joints require this regular exploration through their natural range of motion. Yin yoga is great for active movers to relieve tightness and tension in the body, as well as beginners seeking a relaxing practice.
Our restorative yoga classes are designed to be a healing and recuperative experience. The benefits of a restorative practice are often overshadowed by the popularity of more dynamic yoga styles. This class is an opportunity to get away from your busy day and to reset both the body and mind for improved clarity and thought. We move slowly through poses with deep, consistent breathing. Slower movements allow for a deeper experience of the poses and the breathing. This style is designed to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, which will mitigate the effects of the body's fight-or-flight stress response that is detrimental to both your physical and mental well-being. This class aims to calm you all the way to the cellular level. A regular restorative practice creates expanded awareness of self and body and positively supports your more energetic endeavors.
We offer Level I for Beginners(Mondays at noon) and individuals who need to move gently, and Level II/III for experienced yogis or those familiar with basic yoga poses, as well as alignment and core engagement (Wednesdays at noon). This class is a mindful workout using resistance to tone and define your major muscle groups. The workout borrows postures from yoga to create an aligned, sustainable exercise sequence that increases strength, supports joints, and can help prevent long term injury. The class incorporates hand weights to build muscle and firm the body. During the workout, you will practice breathing and mindfulness. This class is sequenced to build the endurance and vigor needed to maintain all of your physical endeavors.
Our main goal is to help your mind and body connect, developing your own healthy and spiritual process. We offer simple fees with no hidden expenses or "up-selling." Buy classes one at a time or receive a discount on the single class rate if you buy a group of classes. Yogis in transition (AKA students) receive a discounted rate, and our students over the age of 60 can buy a "Wisdom Pass" which is discounted just for them.
